Confession: This Too Is Your New Normal

I have a confession: I inadvertently stopped sharing certain client wins. I'm sharing why here:

Because your sacred work isn't just business, it's business and being. Let's begin. Welcome back, priestess. I have a recent revelation to share that also doubles as something of a confession. That is this. I have inadvertently stopped sharing client celebrations and wins. Not intentionally, quite the opposite. They have become so normal here. And that is what I am curious about exploring with you today. Because somewhere between me registering trademarks and ghost ranch and absolutely epic client wins and increasingly mature bodies of work, mine and my clients, I am accustomed. This is the norm around here. Not numb or unimpressed, accustomed. And these things absolutely freaking matter. I actually find I feel more reverence toward them now more than ever. And they have become the absolute norm. So let's talk about this through first a lens of expansion and expansion as your environment as much as it is mine over here. Because I watch people and clients become accustomed to contraction. Yes, you may be yourself accustomed to being overwhelmed or waiting or self-doubt or this living in the shadow of your own possibility. And we rarely question that, right? But expansion, expansion is often treated like an anomaly, like, oh, this strange pop-up fly-by-night thing that we certainly will never be able to repeat, right? This lightning strike. It's dramatic and fleeting. And increasingly lately, I look at the body of work that I have created and the moves that I am making over here on behalf of myself and in my business and that of my clients. And the vibe now is like, oh, this too. This is an average Tuesday. This is just another morning unfolding on my mindset walk. Not in a dismissive way at all, but because my nervous system has settled around all of this. The conditions have changed. The clients who are now called to work with me have also extricated them from extricated themselves from environments in which expansion was a fluke or a rarity. And so put all of us together in one room, the room that is my fire of transformation mastermind. And this is all so very normal. I remember several years ago, things that I now accept as, well, obviously, whether it's my client, my results or my clients' results, years ago felt absolutely like a dream. Like one day, maybe if the conditions are perfect, right? This is what happens when we change our environment such that expansion is no longer the outlier, but rather the norm. I need to write that down. I think we have, thanks in no small part to the internet, social media, et cetera, I think we have all become slightly addicted and certainly, well, let's stick with addicted to dramatic transformation stories, right? The dramatic before and after the breakdown that preceded the breakthrough, all of all of these things, right? And the most substantial expansion that I myself have experienced and that I witness with my clients arrives with much less fanfare, usually. That's not to say there's not work happening behind the scenes. There's certainly all a matter of devotion, dedication, discernment, all of these moving parts. And I think about this with my clients constantly. The launch that once felt unimaginable. And now, you know, my CPA is like, wow, whatever you did that year changed the course of everything. The leadership that you access and step into for yourself when you decide you're going to freaking send it, whatever that is, whether that's my client submitting, for example, this just happened, an Oracle deck to half a dozen publishing houses, or another former client who just got hard copies of her first of two published books on route to now being in the process of screenwriting them for TV adaptation, to another client selling her first five-figure retreat spot, only to go ahead and double the price point for the year after. So surrounding myself with yes, these outcomes, surrounding myself with people who also surround themselves with these outcomes and these standards removes the drama and removes the illusion that it's separate, that it's this out there, far away thing that you have to contort yourself into in hopes that one day maybe a slice of that will arrive. There is a version of you who no longer requires permission or perfect conditions to freaking go for it. And my clients and I celebrate so consistently. We have an entire chat that is just dedicated to the winds. Otherwise, I swear we would all lose track. And I along the way stopped sharing it because they became, well, obviously, well, heck yes. And of course, oh my gosh, that's amazing. And who else would that have happened to? This has the energy. Now, this is a culture that I have created alongside of my clients over here. So that yes, we celebrate freaking everything. There is no such thing as a small win. Also, all of these, if you're here, you know this, I hope by now, all of these are doubling as ritual. For example, somebody also this month, May was a classic month and an epic month for my clients and I. Somebody just this month launched her first podcast and community. And the ritual and metaphor therein is she, in doing so, activated her sacred voice, right? So these things all take material form, and what we're celebrating is the much deeper, more meaningful, embodied level of expansion. Let's come back to the culture piece. The culture, the room that you are in. And you presumably you're on social, hear and read about all sorts of coaches talking about getting in the room and close proximity and similar language, right? At a point when you are surrounded by high standards and high achievers and people going for it with fear and all of the messy humanists and still going for it, eventually, all of this is feeling familiar, such that your nervous system adapts, your nervous system contracts less in the face of fear, perhaps, and expands more in the face of what's possible, the vision, the bigger picture, zoom out your work beyond just you. So a curiosity that I have on behalf of yes, my clients, yes, myself, and yes, you is forever. What are you repeatingly, repeatedly placing yourself inside? What are you repeatedly reminding yourself of, feeding yourself energetically, information-wise, memo note to self-wise. And I actually don't think this is just a strictly business question. This goes for life. This falls in my mind into the category of running at life. This is the being portion of the business and being that I have created my work, my mastermind in. This tracks now, we're talking about devotion. This tracks to devotion, life, how you want to live your life. And to continue to unearth that and co-create that, what conditions are you creating for that to arise? What are you becoming accustomed to? Is it absolutely incredible expansion, celebrations, wins? Is it satisfying yourself with enough? I'll settle, good enough, meh, energy. Essentially, we get to reflect on that with every micro decision that we make about our life. When we work together, I insist on reflecting on that with you as my client. And certainly that is the worldview through which I am creating and living over here. Now, there's a critical element characteristic invitation necessary to be in that reflecting state. And if you've ever practiced with me, meaning yoga, specifically yoga asana, you have likely heard me say, and this comes from a beautiful former teacher of mine, we create the conditions for whatever the desired outcome is to arise. We create the conditions for that to arise. Now, how do we do that? In being literally in the business of expansion, this is becoming decreasingly available for conditions that do not match who you are, who you are becoming. This is subtle and absolutely tremendous. Because, like me sharing, oh, look at this whole just month alone, just the month of May worth of wins in my clients' work with me has become so normal. I am accustomed to it. And at a point, you also are accustomed to whatever it is that you are surrounding yourself with, namely in your business, such that certain things we've all experienced this beautifully, that were once on the vision board are no longer a vision. They are now in your reality, right? It's like that quote: remember when you once prayed for everything that you have now, and there's an invitation there into gratitude when it comes to our work. There's an invitation into this maturity around it, this self-leadership piece that's oh, right, there are some elements that I can not control, but engage with, refine, tweak, and hone. All of this to say, if your work, your life, your business, your leadership is desiring a different norm, a different standard, becoming accustomed to what was once a dream, book in for an intensive with me, and we will make that your reality. Often the work is not chasing expansion like it's some outside of you thing, but rather placing yourself inside of it long enough so that you actually start to embody it as also your frequency, as your new normal, as your standard.
